Olympiads & Special Events
Emfuleni Mayor Sipho Radebe & Masiza Heights School Shoe Donation
"Together, we can make a difference" (Barbara Mikulski, 1976). On the 25th of April 2025, Mr Sipho Radebe (Emfuleni Mayor) along with the Masiza Heights team came to our school to motivate learners and donate 20 pairs of school shoes. The learners and staff were thrilled and deeply appreciative!
Grade 5 Natural Sciences & Technology Olympiads - District Level
Huge congratulations to Oratile Pooe for obtaining Position 2 and Thabang Lepele for obtaining Position 3 in the Grade 5 Natural Sciences and Technology Olympiads held at Sedibeng West District. We are super proud of their hard work and excellence!
Grade 4 Cluster Level Maths Olympiad Competition
On 24th April 2025, our Grade 4 learners took part in the Maths Olympiad Competition Cluster level held at Sedibeng District Office. Learners Nhlanhla Ratone and Kabelo Setai placed amongst the Top 10 learners, advancing to the District Maths Olympiads finals!
DP World & Motus (Imperial) Regional Dictionary Quiz
Learners Tshiamo Ramosala & Rethabile Ntamane proudly represented Qhoweng Primary School in the Dictionary Quiz hosted by DP World & Motus (Imperial). They successfully advanced through 3 grueling rounds and received top prizes for spelling and vocabulary mastery!

Our curriculum is structured to build progressive skills from early childhood development through Grade 7.
Foundation Phase
Grade R to Grade 3
HODs: Ms C.D Sejang & Ms N.L Nashinini. Focusing on Home Language literacy, First Additional Language, Mathematics, and foundational Life Skills.
Intermediate Phase
Grade 4 & Grade 5
HOD: Mr S Majaja. Expanding into Natural Sciences & Technology, Social Sciences (History & Geography), Mathematics problem solving, and Dictionary Quizzes.
Senior Phase
Grade 6 & Grade 7
HOD: Ms M.M Rakoma. Rigorous academic preparation for high school entry, Economic Management Sciences, Life Orientation, and Olympiad leadership competitions.
